* all wrapped up *

September 24, 2009

I mentioned yesterday that I was all into wrapping up my mommies to be. So here’s another one. Every mother will tell you that the second pregnancy is totally different with a toddler in tow. Every photographer will tell you that any portrait session with a toddler is more interesting than one without :-)

This is a beautiful mommy to be and a beautiful toddler too. I’m super excited to meet the newest member of the family in a short while.

I recently started having the urge to wrap up pregnant ladies like statues in yards and yards of shiny stretchy fabric. Luckily my mommies to be that have come into the studio have been totally up for this process. Here’s some of what we get:

I love it and isn’t she beautiful? She’s due any day and she still made it in for her maternity portraits.

Thank you so much for coming in. Here’s a more traditional image to share from the session.

We’ll have the rest of your images ready to show you in a few days (unless you have the baby by then).

* I love chunky babies *

September 17, 2009

My own kiddos were skinny little babies and so I love, love, love to have beautiful chunky babies in the studio. Especially cute little babies who come in with a whole line up of hats.  This little beauty was a real treat. She amazed her parents at how strong she was to hold her head up so well … and after a good old fashioned Amy baby workout she even took an adorable little power nap.

How can anybody not want to kiss those adorable arms?

I had a great time with this family and look forward to sharing their full set of images with them.

September 14, 2009

This little cutie was in the studio this week. She has the biggest and bluest eyes and such a great smile. It was so much fun to play with the apples and everything with her.

These two little guys made their first appearance here as newborns but here they are a few months later.

They were awesome. It was a hectic but fun session.

So this is a family I’ve been lucky enough to know for many years. This is their youngest son who just turned one. This probably won’t be the image that is Mom’s favorite because he isn’t showing off his beautiful smile. But I *love* his eyelashes here.

I cannot express how wonderful it was to meet Aida in person. She has such a magnetic personality that both Marcy and I were chatting about her all afternoon. Personally, I will always think of her as not only the founder of AM Insurance but also Mrs. Miami – but you’ll have to meet her in person to hear that story for yourself.
