So, this is a random ramblings post. I think my brain was turned a bit to mush by my workout this morning. “thanks reggie!”

This past weekend I felt that my kids were out of kid stuff. Actually, it just occurred to me that it was a good time to update the summer stuff because after a winter in the sun it’s all yucky. So, off I went to a small french boutique — you may have heard of it, Target. It’s a bad joke – I know.

I also picked up some playdoh because my son is 2 and it’s good for their little fingers. I promptly remembered why I had put the old playdoh away when little bits of the dough were all over the floor in minutes. Oh well. But that’s not all. I clearly have become a much more relaxed mom because a while back I was a stickler for not mixing the playdoh. But this time I wasn’t at all upset. It was actually quite pretty.

This I think might be the coolest invitation I’ve seen in a while. I have seen something similar with a small plastic bottle but this is a full size glass bottle. The invitation is rolled up inside. It’s so beautiful I’m not sure I’ll ever open it. Also I’m afraid I’d never get the cork back in.

You’ll see more from this beach wedding in a while but this is a preview. The bride dropped it off when we got together to chat about her awesome wedding which is around the corner.

The invitations (if you’re curious … and I know you are … be honest) came from what looks to be a fantastic paper store Passion Paper.

There was no post yesterday. You just had to get through the day without your jady blog update. I knew you could do it. It was my wedding anniversary so I took the day off and spent it with my husband. We wend mountain biking in the morning and to dinner later. It was great – thanks for asking

So todays Picture of the Day is from a recent session. It’s an idea I found somewhere but I can’t remember where. He’s not quite old enough to actually be climbing into bowls but that day will come soon. This is the biggest bowl I have in my house. It holds a lot of popcorn but not a lot of 7-month old baby apparently. But isn’t he doing a nice job sitting up – even when the crazy photographer puts him in a bowl.

Let’s see. Yesterday was a crazy day. Had the Matilda Jane Trunk show which was great. They are such fun clothes. I got a matching outfit for my daughter and I (she loves that at the moment and I’m going to make the most of it).

There are so many things I could post today. I’ve chosen something completely random … my new running shoes.  This is why you won’t see me in the studio on Saturday mornings … because I’m building up the miles for some marathon craziness. I’ll keep you posted as I wear these out.

Happy St. Patricks’s day! I learned from my daughter’s spanish class the word for leprechaun in Spanish. I love it. Los Duendes is leprechauns. At her preschool the leprechauns will be reeking havock today in the classrooms – to the total delight of the little ones. It’s fabulous – there is nothing like the joy of young kids it’s just great.

Today for the photo of the day I’m sending you out to a friend’s website. This is somebody I went to school with in the great land of Oz. He lasted much longer in the world of Journalism than I did but he has recently bailed and gone to graduate school to pursue an MFA. You can see his work here. He also has a Facebook Page I think under the title of his show “sidelines.”

So, the new blog format is coming along. The image on the header is now from the studio – very important. The side panels (if you see them) are green. I think that there is an issue with the comments that may be beyond my technical ability and I have no idea how to get rid of the twitter bar … or actually to hook it to my totally inactive twitter feed. I may have to call in the reinforcements for that. By reinforcements I mean I’m going to ask my brother for help but he’s a little sleep deprived with a new baby so it may not be an immediate answer. That’s okay. I’ve discovered that I can be quite patient in my middle-ageness.

I’m calling todays photo of the day the header graphic – although 2 of the 3 are repeats. Maybe all 3 actually.

In other news today is a big day because I actually remembered to bring a sandwich to put in my little fridge for lunch and that’s not all … juice boxes. I know — I live an exciting life.

This post is a test to see if the new blog theme is working.

You may notice … if you follow the blog that it looks a little different. I was stuck at home for 2-days while the ac was fixed in my car. It’s not the season to be without ac (of course). And decided to tackle the blog…it’s not finished yet. All this red to the right and left needs to go of course. And then there is a little section that would be a twitter feed but since I don’t twitter I have to figure out how to  make it disappear.

Oh and one more thing … the image in the header at the moment isn’t mine. Gotta change that too.
