The first time I met this little guy he was in mommy’s belly … now whether he’s ready or not he’s going to be a big brother. It’s gonna be great …

This little guy was in the studio just before I headed out for my travels. I love the way he’s peering over the ball at mommy here.

Summertime Adventures

July 10, 2008

The blog has been idle for a while and so I thought I’d quickly post something just so that the gap wasn’t so large. During the summer I do operate a slower schedule which allows me to travel. I visit my family and spend quality time with my young kids. I realize that I can be hard to reach and I apologize. Of course, I do my best.

So far this summer I’ve showed my daughter how to appreciate the raindrops racing down a car window. I’ve caught up on my animated movies (Meet the Robinsons is my favorite new find), I let my daughter teach me how to do a slip-n-slide… it’s easier when you’re younger and honestly I remember that yellow strip being sooooooo much BIGGER, I ate lunch at a table which was made out of a racecar (very cool … sadly the food was not so great), I sat and watched a whole freight train go by with my son (he was totally awestruck which is a great experience), and I was stung by a yellow jacket and more recently a bee on my butt (alright more my upper thigh but butt is more dramatic).

A more tireless person would have the energy to update the blog everyday even while chasing her kids around but I’ve realized this summer that person isn’t me. No matter how much I think I’ll stay up and get caught up … so far it’s just as likely that I’ll pass out with them when they go to sleep.
