One a month we open our studio to corporate portraits. We call this the Movers & Shakers program. This is a give back that we do for the business community in Miami. We offer these corporate portraits as a complimentary service. You can see more details on our main website if you’re interested. As a perk of this session we also put the corporate portraits here on our fabulous Jady Images blog. A little bit of publicity never hurts, right?

This mover and shaker was referred to us by one of my favorite realtors for EWM, Karen Macammon. She recently sold us our new home where we are very happy. Thank you for the referral Karen!

Thank you Andrew for coming in for your corporate portrait. It was fun. I will always think of you when I see a Polaroid. – Amy

As a side note. It started to warm up in the Jady Images studio during Andrew’s session. I turned down the thermostat and just thought it was the afternoon sun but it did turn out to be that the AC was conking out. Our next Movers and Shakers were hot! hot! and more hot!

Javier was a great sport in the heat of the studio. Thank you for coming in for your Movers and Shakers corporate portrait.

Our next Mover and Shaker is Florencia Jimenez-Marcos. We met Florencia when we took her family portrait and she’s fantastic. She’s also much taller than me. So I was up on the ladder for most of the session. Also, Florencia wins the hot stuff award because during her session we concluded that the AC was just not working.Florencia Jimenez-Marcos

That’s round one of our Corporate Portraits – Movers and Shakers for July. Round two comes tomorrow.

So the summer relaxation is slowly getting the better of me. I have a trip coming up and I’m finding that the procrastination bug occasionally wins out when I should be doing something more productive such as … I dunno posting the rest of the Movers and Shakers. This is my coy little way of appologizing for the delay.

There are times when I wonder if my talents behind the camera can do a subject justice. This is one of those times. I loved meeting Naida – her eyes have a twinkle that shows a love of life and her smile really warms a room. I do hope that comes through in these portraits.

Here is an old friend. She is also a mentor and usually is willing to try anything I have in mind. It was fun to have her in the studio for her corporate portrait. I even forgot to ask her what wonderful things she’d like me to say about her company. Sheesh … shouldn’t friendship have some perks? Her company is Bijoux Designs where you can go to pick out beautiful items to make your own jewelry – like she is wearing.

This is my new friend. How can a person with a smile like this not be a friend? Her company is Synergy Communciations and what she would like you to know is that she really likes to help start ups – get started.

She’s a fantastic and smart woman and I enjoyed meeting her. I also learned some hair tricks from her which are mostly helpful for folks with curly hair — which isn’t me but nonetheless important to know.

Now this next one she may not have chosen … but when she laughs she has a terrific expression. So just for fun:

This is perhaps my favorite corporate title ever. This title belongs to this wonderful woman who has a wonderful company in Pinecrest, Math Monkey.  What she would like folks to know about Math Monkey in Pinecrest is that they make math fun and easy. They teach an Indian method of mental math that increases spead and accuracy. But mostly has kids falling in love with math and numbers. I think that’s a good thing.

Catching up

March 11, 2009

I have fallen behind in the daily blog posting this week. I think it’s bound to happen occasionally but today I’m catching up to redeem myself.

What have I been up to. Well so many things. Most preoccupying is that the airconditioning in my car has gone out (as it warms up of course). Which is supremely frustrating but will soon be resolved. But if you’re having trouble reaching me … it is perhaps that I’m adrift without a ride while my ac is fixed.

Next, I’ve been doing lots of work with adults. Part of a new program I have called Movers and Shakers. It’s so popular I’m thinking it needs it’s own logo. It’s a program for business folks to get headshots for self promotion. Here are my latest subjects.

Giatech 1 Giatech 2

These fabulous people are from Giatech. You can learn all about what they do on their website.

And from one of my favorite places that saves me about 1000 hours of stress a month, Dream Dinners.

And now I think we’re about up to date with the photo of the day. Until tomorrow – A

Loving life

February 9, 2009

You may not have known but I actually have a whole program for producing beautiful professional portraits of executives around town. I call it the movers and shakers program. This is why you’ve seen so many of these adults on an otherwise family oriented blog.

When I’m working on corporate headshots I try to capture the natural person. But unlike my full portrait work sometimes this is the first time I’ve met my subject. I am always happy when I find a natural relaxed smile where the person looks great.
