One a month we open our studio to corporate portraits. We call this the Movers & Shakers program. This is a give back that we do for the business community in Miami. So, today I made a typo in my facebook status. oops. Seems like I should be able to update those 10 or so words without a typo but nope. So, instead I’ve declared my self queen of typos.

Speaking of facebook – if you’re bouncing around fb looking for something to do you can become a fan of Jady Images. I know it’s what you’ve always wanted to do.

Today I’m thinking about Cuba. I am not Cuban so I don’t have official opinions about anything but recently when we were in the airport going to Minnesota we walked by not just one but 2 flights leaving from Miami to Cuba. That was kind of cool because it’s not something I’d ever seen before.

So today’s photo is one is not one from today because I spent all morning screening assistant applicants. Did you know we’re hiring? Now you do. Instead this image is one I took a few weeks ago when I was off confering at a conference with other photographers and learning how to be even more of a rockstar than I already am

I have just discovered a wonderful thing. I love fresh flowers and can rarely remember to pick them up at the grocery store. I also love my local flower cart folks but unfortunately if I don’t time my visit just right for visiting them my flowers can be a little less than fresh. So when I found out about this service — I signed up immediately.  I just got my first delivery yesterday a big box outside my door. My kids were thrilled to open the box and find the fresh flowers. They wanted the hydrangeas in their rooms but that was a no-go for me. They have an option to sign up for the rose service which I actually didn’t select but my first order did include roses anyway. They are pictured below. What a great treat. The bucket and box that came with them were also a great set of toys for my little flower lovers.

So, Flowers at your Door now has a new raving fan. I’m sharing the word.

This is so much fun. I put up a sign. I know what you’re thinking. It was fun having a studio with no sign where it was sort of like a little test to see if people could find it. But this will be even more fun I think.

In fact I went sign crazy and put up two signs. Well, to be honest one was included with the purchase of the other. That’s okay with me. I hope you’ll come and see them in person too.

I met a person recently who has a service that I am definitely going to take advantage of in the future so I’m sharing this information with all my avid blog readers. It’s a pharmacy here in Miami that delivers your prescriptions at no charge. I haven’t yet tried it but I think it sounds like a fantastic idea. I know that in my life I really would like to cut that trip to the pharmacy out of my to do list. So, if that sounds helpful to you maybe you’ll want to check them out as well.

Hello! I’m Nydia, Amy’s new graphic designer/studio assistant! I just wanted to introduce myself and make you all aware that I am around the studio as well, bugging the sanity out of Amy little by little! I really don’t have much to say about me at the moment, just that I am here to assist Amy in any which I can and to help make things even more beautiful than they already are.
