Yesterday picking up my son from camp I ran into a friend, Max. He’s 5. He was in my daughters class this year. He’s a cutie – you’ve seen him here on the blog. He told me that the whole city of Miami had been sprayed for mosquitoes. I was happy to hear this because they have been driving me crazy lately. I mean they would get into the car while we were getting in and terrorize my children while we were driving. Major ICK. But to be honest I wasn’t entirely sure if he really knew what he was talking about. Did I mention he’s 5? But then I did notice that the army of flying bloodsuckers that has been hovering outside my door (they gather around my mailbox for some mystical reason) was gone. [poof] So, I think he was right. I’m going to see what else he knows later today.

In other news this is an image from a recent wedding. Congratulations to the Newlyweds! Happy Packing on your journeys. We’re working through the other images and putting your album together as we speak.Okay, as we type.

This is a preview for the bride and groom (and anyone else who wants to peek).

It’s an interesting story because I’ve known this groom for years and years. But I just met his bride who is an amazing woman.

They recently tied the knot on one of my favorite beaches. For the occasion I lugged my trusty little red bench out onto the beach. Let me tell you I looked silly. But you know me — anything to get a great image.

Congratulations (of course) to the newly wedded couple.

* message in a bottle *

March 25, 2009

This I think might be the coolest invitation I’ve seen in a while. I have seen something similar with a small plastic bottle but this is a full size glass bottle. The invitation is rolled up inside. It’s so beautiful I’m not sure I’ll ever open it. Also I’m afraid I’d never get the cork back in.

You’ll see more from this beach wedding in a while but this is a preview. The bride dropped it off when we got together to chat about her awesome wedding which is around the corner.

The invitations (if you’re curious … and I know you are … be honest) came from what looks to be a fantastic paper store Passion Paper.

Smart Bride and Groom

May 14, 2008

I’m not usually intimidated — something that comes in handy since I meet new awesome people everyday. But for this wedding the bride and groom met at Harvard. So, I knew that they were smart. It shows because they made a very smart choice in their wedding photographer … (said the photographer modestly). Then I found out that most of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were also Harvard grads. Yikes … smart crowd if I do say so myself.

They were blessed with fantastic weather the day of their wedding. I was blessed with a nice bright church with a fantastic stained glass window over the alter.

Needless to say the event went off without a hitch as I presume will their marriage.

Here are the previews of their wedding.

More later – A

Here’s why I went to the keys.  These guys were awesome awesome. As I am a big fan of weddings, sunsets, flip flops, beaches and the Florida Keys I thought it was a great wedding. The bride is a jewelry maker and she made her necklace which you see below and the groom is a chef. He was cheffing it up after the ceremony but unfortunately I had to head back to the big city so I missed the feast. He’s opening a restaurant shortly in Pembroke Pines so I’ll be sure to check that out when it opens.
